Longwood Theatre will present Zero to Sixty, the university’s fifth annual 10-minute playwriting competition, on March 29-31 at 7 p.m. and April 1 at 3 p.m. in the Lab Theatre in the Center for Communication Studies and Theatre. Longwood theatre students direct, design and perform the productions. The six plays to be presented are selected by students in the Creative Writing program in a national search. All tickets are $5. We’re pleased to announce the 2012 winner of The Liam Rector First Book Prize for Poetry:

The winner will receive an honorarium of $1000, and publication by Briery Creek Press, to be released in Spring 2012.
